Simple Minimalism in Ugly Betty

Yesterday, I watched an episode of ABC's Ugly Betty. In the show, she is the personal assistant to the publisher of a fashion magazine.

Last night's episode, the publisher had to wine and dine a famous Japanese fashion photographer, and get him to do a shoot for the magazine. His rival at the magazine sabotages him over a faulty expense account, so that his corporate credit card is cancelled.

Now, the publisher can't afford to treat him to a five-star restaurant in Manhattan. Ugly Betty saves the day in the end because she realizes that the photographer is obsessed with simplicity and minimalism.

So, they take him to White Castle (called "White Tassel" on the show). Its white, stark, simplistic, and minimal. :-)
