I find it interesting that in the same website you link to about minimalism, there is a link that links to the article "Minimalism is just designer speak for laziness"

I looked at this article
and it's not against minimalism. It supports minimalism which is well-thought out, and still usable.
The article is against minimalism for its own sake, where usability suffers.
